Is Diarrhea is a Serious Disease

Diarrhea can be a serious illness in children if treatment is timely and appropriate is not provided. This is one of the biggest health problems in developing countries like India and Indonesia. Diarrhea is also a major cause of death and malnutrition on small children.
Dehydration and malnutrition is the greatest impact of diarrhea. Both can cause death within a short time if not treated properly. If treatment is correct and timely manner is not given, your child may lose 10% -15% body weight at each episode of diarrhea. Losing weight can cause malnutrition or malnutrition.
